Only a few more weeks to go and we’ll all be outside having fun at the annual Sun City Center Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament hosted this year by Brandon Buick-Suzuki. Our host is also furnishing the prize for the Hole-in-One contest, a champagne color 2007 Buick Lucerne, which is now on display in the Sun City Center Chamber parking lot.
This year, the tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at Freedom Fairways. Players will check-in at 7:30 a.m. and shotgun start is 8:30 a.m.
Our gold sponsors are the Sun City Center Observer, Liu Property Management Inc., the Sun, The Tampa Tribune, Wilhelm Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., Freedom Plaza, The Retired Military Association, and Fidelity Investments.
Silver sponsors are Wachovia Securities and South Bay Hospital.
Bronze sponsors are Encore Bank and BK Sales Promotions Inc.
Any business interested in becoming a hole sponsor or having their promotional items included in the goody bags, contact us via phone, 634-5111, fax 634-8438 or e-mail scchamber@aol.com. Don’t miss this great advertising opportunity!
Registration is open to the public so if you are interested in playing in this tournament, the price is $60 per person, $200 per foursome and includes a continental breakfast, a full luncheon, goody bags and a door prize for every participant. Call 634-5111 extension 102 for more information.
Please know that the revenue generated from this tournament as well as future fun events will be used for much needed roof repairs to the chamber building. I know that our community appreciates the many events, seminars and workshops that the chamber offers, free of charge, at 1651 Sun City Center Plaza. We are a valuable resource located here in the center of town. However, although we volunteer quite a bit of time and effort towards the betterment of our community, remember that we are a non-profit organization with a limited budget and as you know, major repairs such as the necessary work needed on the roof, can be extremely costly. Any donation towards these repairs would be greatly appreciated and I would certainly be pleased to acknowledge your generosity in future articles.
