Cotter to Volunteer in CFP Board’s 2007 Financial Planning Clinic
Gary Cotter, CFP®, president of Cotter Financial, will volunteer his time and expertise to answer financial planning questions at no cost.
Cotter joins a group of 150 Certified Financial Planners (TM) professionals from around the country at a free financial planning clinic for the public in Boston, MA, on August 4, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
Attendees will have the opportunity to a one-on-one conversation with a CFP® professional about topics they are interested in. Cotter will share his expertise on estate planning, while other topics include, cash flow and debt management, investment types and strategies, tax reduction strategies, retirement planning, and college education planning.
“Estate planning is such an important topic and one of the hardest to get free information about,” Cotter said. “We do so much of this kind of work here in Sun City Center it’s kind of second nature, especially the sophisticated planning we do with retirement plans and large IRA accounts,” Cotter explained. “In Massachusetts, this type of expertise is much harder to find, so I’m looking forward to helping out – and maybe enjoying a lobster dinner while I’m there.” Cotter concluded.

Winn-Dixie Is Getting Better All the Time in Apollo Beach
Series of Events Planned for Customers in Celebration of Remodel
Winn-Dixie will officially celebrate the grand opening of its newly-remodeled Apollo Beach Store #673 today, located at 6188 U.S. Highway 41.
Customers shopping in the store will discover new products as well as upgraded departments and expanded services. Winn-Dixie has planned a variety of events designed to thank customers for their patience during the renovations and invites the entire community to come out and enjoy all of the new features.
“The renovations and improvements we’ve made will provide our customers with better service, better products and an overall better shopping experience,” said Frank James, district manager for Winn-Dixie. “We listened to what our customers were telling us and made these changes to better meet their needs. It’s all about getting better all the time for our neighbors, our Associates and the communities we serve.”
New Products and Better Selection
The store boasts new product selections including an olive cart in the deli area that features different types of olives to suit shoppers’ personal tastes or specific recipes, as well as a wing bar where shoppers have their choice of several flavors of freshly-prepared chicken wings and dipping sauces. In the bakery, a muffin cart and a bread warmer add to the department’s expanded selection. Customers will notice the new organic store-within-a-store where they can find all organic and natural foods, including refrigerated and frozen items, consolidated into one section. Also, more Hispanic selections are now found throughout the store, along with upgraded meat and seafood departments.
Along with new sleek black grocery carts, customers will first notice the construction of an additional store entrance and the relocation of several departments that allow customers to more easily navigate the store. They’ll also see a brighter, more vibrant atmosphere with new floors, a fresh new color palette both inside and out, a new storefront, and modern, fully-remodeled restrooms. Additionally, new self-service checkouts help customers with quick shopping trips.
“We have been working hard to get the store ready for our neighbors, and we appreciate their patience throughout the remodeling process,” said store director Robby Mcdaris, who started working at Winn-Dixie as a bag boy 20 years ago. “Customers are already commenting on the dramatic differences they’ve noticed when they walk through our doors. We encourage those who haven’t been in yet to stop by and see the changes we’ve made.”
The store is commemorating its reopening with a series of events during the next few weeks, including a Taste of Jazz evening, a health fair and a Patriotic Family Fun Day (see below schedule of events for details).
