Sun City Diagnostic Is Expanding
Sun City Diagnostic, Sun City Center’s only full service laboratory, has a new addition.  Edith Berrien has joined the Sun City Diagnostic family. Berrien, an experienced phlebotomist, has been in the healthcare industry for 16 years, mostly in Sun City Center. She enjoys serving the friendly people in the area.  The lab, which has experienced steady growth since re-opening in 2005, needed another experienced individual to assist in drawing patients’ blood specimens.

Edith Berrien

Berrien, a proud grandmother of 16, demonstrates a ‘whatever I can do to help’ approach to working with her patients. Since having your blood drawn can be less than a pleasant experience, Berrien’s patients routinely comment on her gentle, caring approach.

The lab’s President, Roger Briggs, states, “We added Edith, simply because we want to make sure our patients are not sitting in a waiting room for any longer than they have to; we expect a higher level of patient care.” Briggs went on to say, “We take pride in friendly, efficient service, and Edith fits in well with our mission.”

“If you want friendly, efficient service, tell your physician you want to go to Sun City Diagnostic for your lab work,” is one of the company’s mottos. They are located at 741 Cortaro Dr. They accept Medicare and most PPO insurance plans.
