Serving Up Christmas Cheer For Children

For the past twelve years, officers and employees from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office District IV and Special Operations Divisions have held Christmas Parties at the Wimauma Head Start Center. The center has 40 children, ages one to five, whose families are migrant workers. The HCSO served a traditional Christmas lunch and made special arrangements for Santa to make an early visit from the North Pole. HCSO personnel collected gifts throughout the year for the party. Pictured above, Cpl. Michael Hurley carries in a lunch for some of the youngest children. At right, Sgt. Ron Hartley visits with a child while the picture of a child shown lower right reminds us of the joy of Christmas. Pictured below, Santa delivers toys to the children.
