Dixon Memorial Golf Scramble to Honor Friend, Help Son

RUSKIN - It was a freak accident. Some may call it an act of nature, an act of God or just a horrible twist of fate but the outcome was the same: A young mother tragically lost her life and a young son lost his mother.

On June 22 at the Summerfield Golf Club in Riverview, the friends of Lori Baker Dixon will hold the Lori Baker Dixon Memorial Golf Scramble to keep her memory alive and to provide a helping hand for her son.

Proceeds of the event will go to a trust fund for five-year-old Ryan Dixon. Additionally, a donation will be made to the East Bay High School cheerleading program in Dixon’s name. Dixon was a cheerleader at the school.

Dixon’s friends Jason and Michelle Hillman are organizing the event.
Area residents and businesses are encouraged to take part. Food, beverages and door prizes will also be provided during the event. The cost is $65 per player, which includes dinner. Various levels of business sponsorship are also available.

For information contact Jason Hillman at 671-0581.
