Seeing More of the Community

By Dale Morrow

I have been riding my motorcycle to work for the last week. It has been a number of years since I have ridden on the highway. There are changes that have taken place. It requires more attention and concentration. I am adjusting and I am enjoying the ride.

The first day I did not notice to much, I was concentrating on being safe. As time has gone along I have been able to incorporate more pleasure into my rides. I am adventuring on different roads, trying to find the most safe and pleasant routes. That is the fun part. I am seeing more of the community and going on roads I have not traveled in a long time.

These trips have taken me past the homes of old classmates and friends from my youth. The memories and questions that come to my mind have brought me great pleasure. Some roads I have not traveled for 35 or 40 years. Who would have thought that the purchase of a motorcycle would have led me back on old adventures. Maybe I am, recapturing, at least the memories of my youth.

The rides I have taken through our community have taken me down "memory lane."

My "View From The Road" has been very nostalgic.
