By Mitch Traphagen TAMPA - If you took four and a half tons of hot dogs and laid them end to end, they would stretch from Tampa to Orlando - and back again. That, according to organizers of the Florida State Fair, is the approximate number of hot dogs consumed during the 12 day run of the fair. With parents, Coach Brian Thornton and Athletic Director Naida Stebbins looking on, East Bay quarterback J.B. Garris and defensive end Josh Johnson signed letters of intent on National Signing Day on Feb. 5. Tampa Bay area sports fans will still be able to keep in touch with Garris who signed with the University of South Florida. Johnson will make his mark on the University of South Carolina.
