Ruskin Chamber Celebrates 75 Years

RUSKIN - The Ruskin Chamber of Commerce celebrated 75 years during their annual dinner on Jan. 17 at Bahia Beach Resort.

The emcees of the event, Patty Wood of the Ruskin Tea Room and Fox 13's Russell Rhodes, started out reading from the minutes of the very first meeting back in 1928. The details were told of a fund-raising event that provided just under a dollar in profit for the chamber.

Also during the evening, Bob Tiberio was named honorary mayor of Ruskin. Tiberio raised more than $11,000 during his campaign.
