About 250 people packed the clubhouse at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club, April 12, for the 5th annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser.
The evening was filled with live music by singer/guitarist Matt Billor, wine and, of course, delectable chocolates by area bakers Lynn Kessel, Tiffany Williams Wilson, LeAnne Crabtree and Hope Dove. The event also included a silent auction, vendors and hot hors d’oeuvres.
This year’s Death by Chocolate was hosted by founder Amanda Marrero, owner of Fringe Benefits Salon, and the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce Educational Committee. All proceeds will help fill special teacher requests at 16 South Shore schools.
“I am thrilled with the turnout and excited to see our schools reap the benefits of such a successful event,” Marrero said.
