Ruskin Christian School JV girls beat Palm Grove 18-15 on Feb. 16 to win the Florida Christian Conference State Championship for the second consecutive year. Accepting the championship trophy at Webber University are, from left, Coach Danielle Meza, Luna Laureano-Leon, Eden Chloe Marvin, Amira Sanchez, Natalie Lucas, Angelina Triplett, Kristina Lore, Klarissa Solis, Caroline Shreve and Isabella McDaniel. Solis, third from right, a ninth grader, was awarded the MVP trophy for the tournament. In other RCS Warriors’ basketball action, the varsity boys lost in the playoff quarter-finals to Heritage Christian in Kissimmee 74-45, to end their season.
