We’ve had a September to Remember. And a December to Remember. But what is February — except a month that is a few days short of a real month? However, looking at the schedule of upcoming chamber events in unrhymable February, I think you’ll find something for everyone.
We’re going to kick off the month with our monthly coffee on Feb. 12 from 8 to 9 a.m., courtesy of the Bulk Food Superstore at 3804 Sun City Center Blvd. in Cypress Village Plaza. Join Annette and her crew as they show us what’s new now that they’ve entered their second year in town. It’s a great way to jump start your day with breakfast and networking before you head off to the office.
Then we move on to something a little unusual.
I’ve spoken often about our weekly Exchange – your chance to meet with other networkers over a brown bag lunch. Two exciting additions are coming to the Exchange. This Wednesday, which is still hanging on to January (the 30th to be exact), we will move from networking 11:45 to 1 p.m. – to a 1 p.m. ribbon-cutting right in front of the chamber. Join us to help welcome The Law Office of Ashley Ivanov. I’ll bring the big scissors.
Then we’ve decided that the first Wednesday of every month, the Exchange will become a lunch and learn. On Feb. 6, Wanda Adams from thryv will get us up to speed on what we need to know about social media and our businesses. And to help kick off this monthly special, Christina Cieslik from Next State Moving Services will provide some pizza. So come on out and join us for our very first Exchange Lunch and Learn.
Moving on, our monthly lunch is Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:30 a.m. Our host is Lieser Skaff Alexander. Members and guests can meet us in the chamber events room for networking and lunch. Remember to RSVP to the chamber office. Admission is $15 for members and $17 for non-members.
We’ll wind up the month on Feb. 28 for our Business After Hours at the chamber. We’ll learn more about Sleep Number Beds — one of our newest members. Beverages and snacks will help you end your day with a good group of chamber friends.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in February.
