Groups join together to provide gifts, food and bicycles to Wimauma residents
Three Hillsborough County organizations came together Saturday in Wimauma to make Christmas happy for families and youngsters in the Wimauma area.
Joining forces in the spirit of Christmas at the Bethune Recreation Center were the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Wimauma Boys & Girls Club, and the Multi-Cultural Heritage Club (MCHC) of Sun City Center. Food bags and children’s toys were provided to youngsters and families during the morning. Also, 12 bicycles were presented to children ages 6 through 15 from the MCHC based on recommendations from the Boys & Girls Club.
The MCHC, formed in March 2017, now has about 60 members and is dedicated to the effort of inspiring its members to extend fellowship and support to each other through social and cultural activities.
