Let’s just skip to 2019
Please don’t tell me how many days are left until Christmas. I already know it’s too few. I know I won’t have my shopping done. I know company’s coming and the house needs cleaning. I know I need to bake something for somebody. I just don’t remember what I’m baking, when I need to bake it, where to take it, and why I even volunteered. So let’s just drop the countdown for the sake of my sanity.
Instead, I’d rather talk about 2019. I know that seems ironic. No more this year, move on to next year. However, it’s that time of year for the chamber to find out who wants to sponsor our monthly events. These events are huge for our members who choose to take advantage of them. The business becomes a sponsor and the chamber provides the captive audience. What a great way to get your name out there for 2019.
Here are your choices: Our monthly coffees are always the second Tuesday of the month from 8 to 9 a.m. It’s a great way for members to kick off their day with breakfast and a little networking before they head off to work. Sponsors provide the breakfast and may hold the coffee either at the chamber or at their location. Two months are already taken.
The members’ luncheon is always the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunches are usually held at the chamber, but if your location can accommodate a large group, our members always love a road trip. You get the chance to make your sales pitch to our members, or you can secure a speaker and give us a lunch and learn opportunity. Give me a call about the pricing options for this sponsorship.
Business After Hours is always the fourth Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Again, at the chamber or your location. It’s your choice. Snacks and adult beverages are always appreciated, and you can throw in your own specials touches such as games, music or interactive activities. It’s your night.
And we’re in the middle of golf cart poker run season. From now until May 3, on the first Friday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m., you can participate as one of the stops on our poker run. For a mere $50, it’s a great way to introduce residents to your business or service. For members not on the golf cart path, your stop can be at the chamber. And remember residents, the first poker run of the season is this Friday. If you’re coming, RSVP to the chamber just so we get a better head count.
And there’s a new sponsorship opportunity we started this year. Members can sponsor coffee at our monthly lunch. Considering board chairwoman Connie Huber and I are both perpetually caffeine deprived, we need that extra cup of joe at lunch. So, for the $50 sponsorship, you get signage and a chance to give your elevator pitch to the crowd. And you’ll earn mine and Connie’s undying gratitude.
So members, I’m sure you’re in planning mode for next year, and so are we. Give me a call at 813-634-5111, or shoot me an email at lynne@sccchamber.com to let me know what you’re thinking. Sponsorships are filling up fast. Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity to keep your business in the spotlight.
