Hundreds turn out for Spoto’s big night
They came, they boogied, they ate and laughed and it’s unlikely any school in the Tampa Bay area had more fun. Culture Krave was a coming out party for the school under the direction of a new principal, Glennis Perez, and drew hundreds of students and parents to the Riverview school. With new programs and a new attitude, Perez and her staff hope to establish the school as a destination for parents and students. “There’s already a lot more spirit at the school,” said Emily Hazen, a senior. The free event featured food trucks, a bake sale, DJ and live band and raffles. Students also got in on the act, performing in front of the cafeteria.
