Sizzlin’ Summer events
By LYNNE CONLAN
Executive Director, Sun City Center Area Chamber of Commerce
Here at the chamber, summer is sizzlin’. We’ve got a busy month ahead. And we hope you can join us at some of our events. We kick off July with our monthly coffee. This month, our gracious host is Pacifica Senior Living. It’ll be held Tuesday, July 10, at 3855 Upper Creek Dr. from 8 to 9 a.m. Rumor has it we’re being served an awesome breakfast. It’s free but open only to our members.
The Exchange is our weekly networking group, which meets every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chamber events room. It is a BYO-lunch. It’s free and open to members and nonmembers. However, we’ll skip the July 4 holiday. So, we’ll see you July 11, 18 and 25. Come in to meet an incredible group of networking pros.
Next up is our monthly luncheon. On July 19, our sponsor is Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays 2020. Come listen to representatives of the Rays on their bid to keep the team in Tampa Bay. We’ll be sure to leave plenty of time for questions. Admission is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers and will be held in the chamber events room.
Our Business After Hours on July 26 is hosted by Bright Star Care in the chamber events room from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. I know Ralph Fritsch and his crew have something special planned for us. This event is free but open only to members of the chamber. Membership has its privileges!
And to top off the month, it’s the return of Eggs & Issues. We’ve invited candidates who are up for election to the chamber events room on Friday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to noon. You’ll get the chance to meet them face-to-face to ask your burning questions. A continental breakfast will be served. This event is free and open to the public — and should make for an informative morning.
So, clip out this article and tape it to your fridge. Or if you’re more tech savvy, just take a screen shot with your phone, and you’ll be good to go. Any questions, you know where we live: 1651 Sun City Center Plaza from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
