VA Riverview Clinic services to be explained on Sun Radio
By PHYLLIS HODGES
There is good news for veterans who were not able to attend the VA’s Town Hall meeting in March about the new Riverview clinic. Sun Radio WSCQ 96.3 FM is airing an interview with Joe Battle, director of the James A. Haley Hospital and Clinics, on the new facility next week. The Veterans Corner interview consists of a two-part interview—one on May 22 and one May 24. Both will air immediately after the 3:30 p.m. sports news.
The interview can also be heard via computer by visiting the radio station’s website (www.WSCQFM.com) and selecting “Listen Live.”
Because the new clinic is projected to serve 10,000 veterans in South Hillsborough County, interest in the services to be provided and who can take advantage of them at that location has been extremely high. About 600 attended the March 30 Town Hall in Sun City Center when Battle provided details about the facility and brought key members of the Haley staff to speak with attendees about specific issues.
Veterans Corner on Sun Radio WSCQ FM is a 15-minute program dedicated to providing useful information to those who served or are serving in the U.S. military and their families. Initiated in January this year, it features guests involved in military-related activities.
