Re: Opioids. What about those who need them?
What about pointing at the other side of using narcotics, the many cases in which narcotics are the only lifeline for people who can’t find relief in other treatments? Why should people who heed the warning about addiction of those pills, treat them responsibly and are able to manage them suffer endlessly because of some other people who don’t care or are reckless? Conducting a witch hunt on and demonizing medical drugs which not only help people who are suffering from pain or other disorders but also make their lives bearable in many cases will not deter people from abusing drugs but only punish those whose quality of life depends on the only treatment available to them.
