Community turns out to help child

I would like to thank, with all of my heart, the Ruskin Moose Lodge 813 LOOM officers: Wayne Stokes, administrator; George Gray, governor; Dave Morris, junior governor; Dave Allen, treasurer; Gus Badgerow, trustee; Tom Coons, trustee; Calvin Oastvall, prelate; Frank Cooper, past governor; and Moose International, for sponsoring the Lily Grace James Benefit that was held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Ruskin Moose Lodge, and for all of your help and hard work to help make this benefit a huge success.

I would also like to thank my “right arm” and co-chairman, Cheryl Stokes, for your hard work, love and caring in helping me prepare everything that was needed to be done to get the benefit together, and also for making the wonderful posters and tickets. Fantastic job!

And also a huge thank you to all volunteers, the kitchen crew, the bartenders and to the supporters of the community and all Moose members. My heartfelt thanks also go out to John Bastian for the pig roast and staying up all night, with Wayne Stokes, cooking it. Without all of you, this benefit would have never turned out to be the success that it was. Thank you all a million times for your outpouring of love and generosity.

And thank you so much to The Observer News and to Mitch for covering the story for the benefit. Fantastic coverage.

I am honored to announce that as of Saturday evening, our total raised for the medical needs for Lily Grace was $12,000 and donations are still coming in. God Bless you all.

Thank you

Thank you to the entire community for your overwhelming love and support that was shown to our family for the Lily Grace fundraiser. The event raised money that is so needed for Lily’s continued medical care and medical conferences.

We also want to give a huge thank you to all of the businesses, sponsors, volunteers and members of the Ruskin Moose Lodge for all that you gave and put in to make the fundraiser a major success.

And a very special thank you to Kathleen, Cheryl, Wayne and the Ruskin Moose Lodge 813 officers for taking our family under their wing and making the fundraiser the success that it was.
