Thank you to a stranger
On Monday, May 15, while having lunch at Bob Evans Restaurant in Sun City Center, I began choking on a piece of meat.
I couldn’t breathe or talk. It was a horrible feeling. I felt like no one was going to help me in time. All of a sudden I felt arms around me and a wonderful (woman) stranger used the Heimlich Maneuver to dislodge the meat. Thanks to her I am alive today. I was so shocked by the event that I only said a quick thank you and then lost sight of her.
I really see how important it is to know this maneuver, and I hope others will not hesitate to learn it, too.
I was very embarrassed, but I’m very grateful to be alive, so I want to thank this woman for saving my life.
I hope she sees this because she deservers to know how thankful I am that she was in the right spot, at the right time and knew what to do.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would like to thank you properly, if you would call this newspaper at 813-645-3111, and leave your phone number, I will contact you.
Happy to be alive in Ruskin
