Cleo T. Aldrich, Jr.
God opened His arms April 22, 2017 and welcomed home Cleo T. Aldrich, Jr. He was born December 24, 1927 to Cleo T. (Sr.) and Helen (O’Bryan) Aldrich. A 1946 graduate of Adrian High School, he went on to college to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.
During his life he taught in the classroom. He also was a principal and guidance counselor in schools in Michigan, Indiana, South Carolina, Florida, Bolivia and China.
Cleo married Nelladele Henke on August 12, 1949, who preceded him in death April 6, 2012. He is survived by their children, Gary (Judy) Aldrich of Kansas, Gwendolyn (Aldrich) DeBord of Georgia and Geoffrey (Debra) Aldrich of South Carolina; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters Lois (Les) Moore, Joyce (Peter) Hine, Nancy (David) Dennis and Mary Carol (Aldrich) Wilkins, many nieces, and nephews and special friends Frank and Edith Blaszczak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Helen Claire and Patricia (Aldrich) Whisman. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gideons Intl., Sun City Camp, PO Box 5462, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. W., Sun City Center, Fla. on Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m.
Andries Oosthuizen
Andries “Andy” Oosthuizen, 71, born in South Africa, died on Monday, April 24, 2017 at LifePath Hospice after a brief illness at home in Sun City Center.
Andy was a playwright, actor, teacher, director and producer in New York, New Jersey and Florida theater. He was best known as a humanitarian with many world-wide awards from charitable organizations over the span of more than 30 years. They Included a Human Rights Award from Brandeis University in which his name appears in every Learned Research Journal bookplate acquired by the university libraries, as well as tributes from New Jersey Law Enforcement, New Jersey Special Olympics, and local and civic New Jersey and Florida charitable organizations.
He is survived by family and friends whose lives have been greatly enriched by having known him. They were as happy as he was when he became a citizen of the United States of America last year.
Lois Ann Sanderson
Lois Ann Sanderson, 92, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away April 9, 2017. Lois was preceded in death by her two husbands, Archie Sanderson and Art Blumenthal. She is survived by her three daughters, Wendy Stieff, of O’Fallen; Holly Welch, of Indianapolis; Nancy Matthewson, of Spring Branch; and numerous grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held May 22, 11 a.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. W., Sun City Center, FL 33573.
