Robert Casey
Robert N. Casey, 82, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Nov. 13, 2016. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as Regional Claims Manager for the Hartford Insurance Company after 30 years of service. He volunteered and raised seven guide dogs for the Southeastern Guide Dog Association. In addition, he volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity, the Sun City Center Security Patrol and was a member of the Sun City Center Tennis Association and the Sun City Center Ham Radio Club.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Casey and by his brother, John Casey. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Jennie Casey, son, Michael (Katherine) Casey, daughter, Susanne (Jerry) Roslon, daughter, Christine Casey and son, Edward (Jeannie) Casey, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Dr., Sun City Center, Fla. Funeral Mass with military honors will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 16650 U.S. 301 South, Wimauma, Fla.

Raymond J. Evans
Raymond J. Evans passed away suddenly on Nov. 6, 2016, at the Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center in Sun City Center, Fla., at the age of 87. He had fallen ill in August and was undergoing therapy.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio where his sister, Florence Stupi, still resides. He was a thoroughbred horse trainer for most of his life and had a great love for all animals.
After serving in the Korean War, he settled in Palatine, Ill. There he met his soul mate, Mavis. They were married for 38 wonderful years until her passing in 2000. He raised Mavis’s daughter, Lynn, as if she were his own.
After his wife’s passing he moved to Sun City Center and was living with stepdaughter, Lynn Corbin, and son-in-law, Roger Corbin. He had been very happy there for the last nine years. He was a very kind gentle man, greatly loved and will be missed by many.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Nov. 20 at his home for family and friends.
Mary Jane Froebe
Mary Jane Froebe, 95, of Riverview, Fla., and Tucson, Ariz., died Nov. 13, 2016 at home with her family by her bedside. She was born June 8, 1921, in Van Wert, Ohio.
Mary Jane was a career military wife, traveling throughout the world and actively supporting her husband while raising their five children. Her voluntary activities included numerous military and civic organizations including the American Red Cross, military thrift shops and the Officer’s Wives Club. She was an avid bowler, golfer and bridge player and her passion was reading.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leonard. She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela (Alex) Banachowski, Kathy (Peter) McNabb-Klingman and Melinda Franz, two sons, Douglas Froebe and Timothy (Karen) Froebe, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd., Sun City Center, Fla.

Marie Plaskon
Marie T. Plaskon, 85, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away November 4, 2016. She retired from Johnson and Johnson as an accountant after many years of service. She was an avid bridge player, member of St. Andrew’s Chorus, volunteer and dispatcher for the Sun City Center Security Patrol and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Partricia Kuzma, her brother, James Newsome and by her grandson, Zachary Wall. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joseph Plaskon, her four sons, Robert (Kathy) Plaskon, Donald (Diane) Plaskon and Thomas (Sheila) Plaskon, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Plaskon, her daughter, Nancy (John) Wall, her brother, Richard (Rosalie) Newsome and six grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Dr., Sun City Center, Fla.

Gaby Johnson
Gaby Johnson, passed away November 6, 2016. Gaby was born in Landau, Germany. She became a naturalized American citizen after marrying her husband, William O. Johnson in 1961. They were married for 48 years before he passed away in 2009.
She worked as a translator for the U.S. Army when she met her husband, who was stationed in Germany at the time. After her children were grown, she worked part time as a travel agent. Being married to a career military husband, they moved many times during Bill’s 30 years in the U.S. Army.
Her favorite hobby was traveling. She traveled all around the world visiting every continent except Antarctica and enjoyed experiencing the cultures of over 100 different countries. She also loved going on cruises, having gone on dozens of them after retiring in Sun City Center in 1997.
She was very proud of her German heritage and enjoyed spending time with the German-American Club. All of her friends in Sun City Center were like family to Gaby.
She leaves behind a daughter, Katrina Benson-Lamp, son-in-law Olen Lamp, granddaughter Dominique Benson and grandson Micah Benson.
She was preceded in death by her son, Oliver Johnson, who passed away in 1984. The family received friends Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Memorial service at 7 p.m,. at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573.

Hilda I. Sanyour, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away November 7, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Frank Sanyour and many loving friends.

Sandra Whittle
Sandra Kay Whittle, 74, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Oct. 26, 2016. She retired as manager of Public Self Storage. She was a member of the Kings Point South Club and Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Denelda and Conrad Brill, and her sister, Donna Koch. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Bessler, Lisa Rodi and Marilyn Sims, three sons, Gregg (Joy) Bessler, Darin (Becky) Bessler and Matthew Bessler, a sister, Marlene (Junior) Bower, brother, Rick (Joyce) Brill, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
