Wayne Bensman
Wayne Trueman Bensman, age 90, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away October 11, 2016. He was retired as a Doctor of Optometry; served in the Air Force during WWII; and was a valued member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 35-plus years in Chicago, Bradenton and Sun City Center. He was also a golfer for many years and received awards for making two holes in one. He was very proud to have also served in the Sun City Center Volunteer Emergency Squad for several years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara.
Survivors include his loving wife Sue Long Bensman; loving children Robert Bensman (Olga), Brad Bensman and Steven Bensman; stepchildren Daniel Long (Karen), LaWanda Reiswig (Roger) and Tim Long (Laurie); nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren: David (Tina), Adam (Sheena) Bensman, Jason, Kelsy, Jolie Long, Becca, Laura, Tim Jr., Brandon; three great-grandchildren, Bella, Mia and Rileigh; sister Sheila Kovalsky, and Loretta Shapiro, loving mother of his three sons. Marilyn E. Butcher
Marilyn E. Butcher was born Aug. 14, 1935 and passed away in her home in Ruskin, Fla., on Oct. 16, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Butcher. She is survived by three children Gayle Fisler, Ruskin, Fla., David Burkey, Gibsonton, Fla., and Dianne Gomoll, North Port, Fla., and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She will be truly missed.
Jeremiah Mahoney
Jeremiah (Jerry) Mahoney, of Freedom Plaza, devoted husband, passed away on October 7, 2016. He was born on June 14,1936 to his parents Margaret and Jeremiah Mahoney in Springfield, Mass.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen Mahoney and his four daughters, Michele Richardson (Ken), Eileen Burke (Michael), Tricia Zucker (Jim) and Christine Morris (Ken), his seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also, mourning his passing are his brother John Mahoney (Barbara).
Jerry was born and raised in Springfield, Mass. He married Kathy in June 1961. They raised their family in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. He work at Xerox for over 30 years, retiring as Treasury Operations Manager. Jerry was active in many community activities since moving to Sun City in 2000. He enjoyed his volunteer work and served as past president of the Men’s Club.

Martha Olson
Martha Olson passed away peacefully in her home in Sun City Center, on September 23, 2016. Martha was born on February 21,1919 in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. She was pre-deceased by her parents Gus and Laura Gertrude Olson.
Martha was a watercolor artist and had been in charge of the art department for the former Gibson Card Company. She had a wonderful life combining painting and traveling around the world.
After she retired to Florida she taught painting in Sarasota and in Sun City Center. She dearly loved working with children. She volunteered until she was 93 years old, as a mentor for the Hope Fund, an organization dedicated to helping children learn, grow and have fun while their parents are at work.
There will be a Memorial Service on October 24, 10 a.m. at Sun City Center Hospice Chapel, 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573, officiated by Chaplain James Fischer.
