Alpha Idol winners

Alpha Pizza Pasta & Prime restaurant in Apollo Beach has completed its sixth year of the Alpha Idol karaoke championship. Top winner this year was Kevin Knott, pictured below with Alpha Pizza owner Nick Egarhos. Second place went to Dana Merriwether of Tampa; third place Anita Martin of Brandon; fourth place Katharine Walters of Valrico; fifth place Eva Peake of Riverview; and sixth place Brenda Reber of Riverview.

Judges for this year’s contest were Apollo Beach residents Michelle Noyes and Pat Sweeney, along with the 2014 Idol winner Eric Schichctl.
