Donald Hansen
Donald Hansen went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 11, 2015.
Don was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on February 24, 1940. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was an Architectural Specifications Writer.
Don is survived by Pam, his wife of 49 years; daughter Christine Candileri; daughter Sandi Vest and son-in-law Lt. Col. John Vest; brother Art Hansen and sister-in-law Connie.
Internment will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
Daniel K. Nixon
Daniel K. Nixon, 72, of Strongsville, Ohio, and former resident of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away October 11, 2015.
Beloved husband of Carolyn (née Faunce); dear father of Daniel, David, and the late Matthew; cherished grandfather of Corey and Jacob; loving brother of Fred (Anna-Mae, deceased), Ronald (deceased), and Betsy King. He retired from Ohio Bell as a manager.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where the family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Susan E. Schemenauer
Susan E. Schemenauer, 79, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away October 1, 2015. She was born in Valdosta, Ga., and moved to Tampa in 1941. After living in Ruskin for 26 years, she moved to Sun City Center in 1997.
Susan was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 20 years and co-owner of the former J & M Accounting firm in Ruskin. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a volunteer for the Sun City Center Emergency Squad.
She was preceded in death by husband Paul Schemenauer; parents Ernest W. and Susan Elizabeth Tidwell; brother Edwin Tidwell; and sister-in- law Margie Tidwell.
Survivors include daughters Denise D. Toledo (wife Susan Russell) and Dinorah Voelkl-DiFonzo (husband Gus); grandson Bryan Voelkl; brother Harold W. Tidwell (wife Jean); numerous nieces and nephews; her faithful companion, Wade B. Pritchett; and her loving feline, “Lacey.”
A memorial service was held Oct. 10 at the Sun City Center Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Critter Adoption And Rescue (C.A.R.E.), 1529 27th St. SE, Ruskin, FL 33570.

Peter T. Ward
Peter T. Ward, of Sun City Center, born March 19, 1948, in Wickenby, Lincolnshire, England, passed away Oct. 6th at the family home in Lincoln, England.
Peter proudly served in Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, and the Marines will handle his memorial service. He emigrated to America July 4, 1976 — he thought all the fireworks were for him.
He is survived and loved by Donna Ward and many of her family members in Wisconsin. He is also survived by family in the U.K. Ashes will be spread in Wickenby Woods, England, to push up Bluebells. God Bless America (per Peter).
