Albert F. Linnell Sr.
Albert F. Linnell Sr., 77, passed away on July 8, 2015, in Sun City Center, Fla. Albert was born August 1, 1937, in Brewster, Mass., the son of Albert Robbins and Alice Mae (Nickerson) Linnell. He attended the Harwich School System in Harwich, Mass.,and worked on farms with his father during high school.
Albert served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. After leaving the service, he became a Scuba instructor and a salvage diver. He worked in the construction industry as a master craftsman. Later in life, he joined the Boy Scouts of America as a professional Camp Ranger at Camp Sequassen and Camp Workcoeman of New Hartford, Conn., before retiring in 2003. Albert also managed the North Beach Campground in Burlington, Vt. He served as a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and Sun City Center Men’s Club Lifeline Program.
Albert was predeceased by sister Clara E. Boyd and niece Cherie Sala.
Albert leaves his devoted wife of 53 years, Carol A. (Bradbury) Linnell; son Albert F. Linnell Jr.; daughter-in-law Diane J. Linnell; sister and brother-in-law John and Gail (Sala) Fruci; nephews Bob Davenport and wife, Clara, George Sala and wife Deborah, and Mark Sala; nieces Patty Abbot and Carol Ann Boyd. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews; his dear friend and brother of 33 years, Tony Marro; and many great and close friends in Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and Florida.
A memorial service will be held at a later date determined by the family.

Phyllis Jackman Otte
Phyllis Jackman Otte died on July 2, 2015, at the age of 92 after a well-lived life. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 9, 1923, to Harold T. and Ruth Edwards Jackman.
She was preceded in death by George E. Otte, her husband of 59 years. They were devoted to each other and enjoyed each other’s company. She accompanied George, an executive with AMSCO, to many foreign countries. She especially liked the Philippines, Japan and South Africa.
Phyllis is survived by four children: Sheryl (Stephen) Lucas of SCC; Jim (Albina) Otte of SCC; Donn (Susan) Otte of Sanford, N.C.; and Linda (Mark, dec.) Grabowski of SCC. She had 10 grandchildren: Larry (dec.), Matthew, Amanda (Relihan) and Thomas Lucas; Jamin Otte; Christine (Renteria), Michael and Geoffrey Otte; and Galen and Alexis Grabowski. She enjoyed her eight great-grandchildren and named herself GiGi (Great Grandma).
She and George retired to Carolina Shores, N.C., in 1983, then they moved to Florida in 1995. In Sun City Center they first lived on Middle Lake; then she moved to Aston Gardens, Homewood and Palm Garden.
Phyllis was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer. Her many other interests included volunteering, painting, music and dancing, bridge, quilting, entertaining and bird watching. She also enjoyed traveling and loved her maps.
The family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at Palm Garden for their care of our mother. Special thanks to the totally volunteer Sun City Center Emergency Squad. They enable residents to stay in their homes for as long as they are able.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Marilyn Kappel Sherrick
Marilyn Kappel Sherrick, 71, a resident of Sun City Center Fla., formerly of Naperville, Ill., passed away on June 20, 2015. Marilyn was preceded in death by parents Dorothy (Mickey) Vallone and William (Vivan) Buban and brother Robert Buban.
She is survived by her beloved husband William (Bill) Sherrick; daughters Dawn (Al) Siems, Diana Klein and Karen Sherrick; sons Keith (Marlene) Kappel and Otto Sherrick; grandchildren Angela (Jason), Cory, Austin (Veronica), Samantha (Steve), Parker, Becky, Jordan, Jeff, Austin and Jenna; great-grandchildren Bradyn, Ben, Issak and Bren; brothers Pat (Nancy) Vallone and Bill (Patricia) Buban; “sister” Margie; “granddaughter” Nicole; and Fur-Ever friend Spencer.
Marilyn was a Realtor for more than 35 years in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida. Besides her family, her love was the beach.
Marilyn was a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, friend and neighbor to many. Marilyn valued all of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Joan Wells
Joan Wells, 87, of Fairfield, Ohio, and Sun City Center, Fla., passed away at Moores Hill, Ind., on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was the widow of Robert C. Wells.
Joan is survived by her significant other Carlyle Chandler, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was also preceded in death by son Robert C. Wells Jr. and sister Jane Heller Foley.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the South Sparta Community Church.
