Harry E. Springer
Harry E. Springer, 90, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2015.
He was known for his volunteerism at the Apollo Beach Chamber of Commerce and with the Manatee Festival of the Arts. A former Caribbean Isles resident, he owned a local bike shop.
He is survived by Helen, his wife of 68 years; son Fred and his wife Pam; daughter Connie; granddaughter Beth (Schneider); and great-grandchildren Mitchell and Rowan.
Harry proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 36 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, Fla.
