Joan Osborn Wohlrabe
Joan Osborn Wohlrabe, 91, formerly of Sun City Center, Fla., was born to eternal life at the Aristrocrat Nursing Center in Naples, Fla., on January 8, 2015.
She leaves loving children Mary (Thomas) Domer and Judy (Timothy) Knurr of Milwaukee, Bo (Ethel) Wohlrabe of Nashville, Tenn., Robert Wohlrabe of Naples, and Jeannie (Jack) Iannello of Maple Grove, Minn.; and sister Virginia Merck of Little Rock, Ark. She is remembered fondly by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her adoring husband James; sons James and Thomas; brother-in law Thomas and wife Charlene of Des Moines; and brother-in law John Merck of Little Rock.
Born in Little Rock, Joan met her husband Jim during World War II at a USO dance in her hometown. Theirs was a love story worthy of a Hollywood script. They were a devoted couple, enjoying almost seven decades of marriage. They were inseparable in life, nor could they be separated by death itself. To the people who knew them in their last days, the timing of their earthly departure is both sweet and sad — not tragic, simply poignant.
Joan was a proud alumna of Mount Saint Mary Academy, Little Rock, a premier all-girls school where she was voted Best Leader and Most Likely to be Missed, having become a friend to all on campus. Joan followed her southern passion with her tireless efforts working with The Ladies of Charity, an organization embracing daily prayer and providing personal service to the poor.
As she dances her way lovingly to join Jim, she will be remembered for her devotion as a wife and mother, always putting their needs above her own.
The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Ladies of Charity c/o Mary Domer at 4510 N. Oakland Ave., #403, Shorewood, WI 53211.
The family is especially grateful and appreciative of the special care and services provided by Kathy Sears, the Aristrocrat staff and Pastor Tim Deaton.

The moment that you died
our hearts were torn in two,
one side filled with heartache, the other died with you.
Remembering you is easy,
we do it every day,
but missing you is a heartache
that never goes away.
We hold you tightly within our hearts
and there you will remain,
until the joyous day arrives,
that we will be together again.
We miss you.
Love, Mom & Dad, Grandpa Gary, Aunt Elaine, Uncle Phillip and
sons Dakota, Skyler, Sebastian & Marshall.
In Memory of
Randall James Rowell
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
