The Lord’s Lighthouse, a Ruskin ministry committed to providing spiritual nourishment, educational empowerment and compassionate assistance to the less fortunate, gave thanks to those who have helped them in fulfilling that mission. The mission provides food, clothing, translation services, advocacy, application assistance for various programs, crisis intervention, spiritual counseling and emergency assistance to those in need.
“Without the help of others, we could not do our mission,” said Pastor William Cruz, who, with his wife, Dora, founded the Lord’s Lighthouse. “These organizations represent those in the community who have been the backbone of helping us do that, of serving this community.”
Representatives from four of eight of the organizations attended a luncheon given in their honor two weeks ago. Pictured are Pastor Mark Canfield of Pinellas Community Church, Gary Kaukonen of Keller Williams Realty, Edward Brown of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Pastor William Cruz, and Kitty and Charles Talcott of Talcott Family Foundation.
Organizations not pictured are the Sun City Center Funeral Home, the Jeko Family Trust, the Law Office of Ricky Martinez, and David Gauthier of Sun City Accounting.
“This is in sincere appreciation for your exemplary support of the work of the Lord’s Lighthouse,” Cruz said. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for being so kind.”
