While the past few weeks have felt more like summer than autumn, a cold blast coming in from the north serves as a reminder that Halloween is just around the corner. And with the coming of Halloween means family fun at a good old fashioned pumpkin patch.
In Ruskin, the pumpkins are out and on display at Hydro Harvest Farms (pictured above) at 1101 East Shell Point Road. Families are invited to come out to enjoy the pumpkin patch and take photos of their children amongst the giant orange gourds. Of course pumpkins are for sale as well.
In Riverview, Wolfe’s Produce Market, located on the southwest corner of U.S. Hwy 301 and Bloomingdale Ave., continues their tradition of hayrides through their acres of wooded trails each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. They also offer free candy for kids and seasonal treats such as candied apples, apple cider and kettle corn.
