RIVERVIEW — Hillsborough County is holding a public meeting to discuss a proposed new site for the replacement of the existing South Brandon Fire Station #7, currently located at 122 W. Bloomingdale Avenue.

This project includes the proposed purchase of property for the new station further east of the existing station, located on the north side of Bloomingdale Avenue between the intersections of Springvale

Drive and Hurley Road. A new three-bay fire station is proposed to be built on the property. After the land acquisition is completed, the planning for the design and construction phases will begin.

County staff will be at the meeting to discuss the details of the project and answer any questions residents may have. Please attend; they welcome your input.

The public meeting will take place at the Brandon West Recreation Center, 3940 Canoga Park Drive, today, Thursday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m.
