Hazel L. Cruse
Hazel L. Cruse, 92 of Ruskin, FL passed away December 18, 2012. She was a member of Colony Baptist Church in Ellenton, FL.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Lane; her second husband, Damon Cruse; her son Quincy Lane; and her daughter Peggy Lane-Cordle.
Survivors include three daughters: Nora (Royce) Williams, Jo Ann McAlister, Janice Lemke; three sons, Tom (Luanne) Lane, Ben (Jorene) Lane, and Pat (Connie) Lane; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive in Sun City Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care.
Roberta Jane Crim Hamilton
Roberta Jane (Bobbie) Crim Hamilton died October 17, 2012 after a brief illness. She will be buried with her husband, Richard L. (Ham) Hamilton, Colonel, USAF (retired) at Arlington National Cemetery.
Bobbie was born an “Army Brat” in Honolulu. She received a BA from the University of Miami, Florida and a MA in Drama and Stage Design from the University of Nebraska. She lived in places like China, the Philippines, Guam, Germany and Italy but came to call Ruskin, Florida home for the last 40 years. She operated her own travel business and traveled around the world. She was also a travel writer, piano player, painter, aspiring photographer, and frustrated golfer.
Bobbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Kathy Hamilton; granddaughters Kathryn Elizabeth Hamilton, Lisa Bowen and Kerry Melnichek; grandson Robby Bowen; great-grandsons Gabriel and John Bradshaw and Burton Crane; great-granddaughter Olive Bowen; and her blue-tick hound, Anna.
In lieu of cards or flowers the family asks donations be made to LifePath Hospice of Temple Terrace.
Rose Marie Sisk
Rose Marie Sisk, age 89, of Sun Center, FL, died on November 28, 2012 at Sun Terrace Health Care Center following a brief illness. Cremation rites were accorded by The Neptune Society. The family plans a private remembrance at a future date.
Rose was born July 13, 1923 near Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of Zachary T. and Beulah Tate Monroe. She married Max C. Sisk on April 7, 1947 in Salem, Washington. They later lived in Skokie, Illinois and Kirkwood, Missouri.
Rose and Max retired in 1968, moving to Florida in 1972. Max preceded her in death in 1997.
Rose was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading and tending her plants.
Rose is survived by her daughter Sherry (Jim) Graehling, and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katherine, of Bloomington, Illinois. She is also survived by step-daughter Jeannie (Bass) Crow of Banning, California; step-daughter-in-law Betty Sisk of Topeka, Kansas; three step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her late husband, Rose was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, a step-son and a step-grandson.
The family greatly appreciates the services of Rose’s care manager, Kay Coburn Dyer, who arranged exceptional service providers for Rose, and added a personal, highly attentive touch to both Rose and her family during the past four months.
