Max T. Lee
Max T. Lee, 89, of Sun City Center passed away Friday, May 13, at The Hospice House in Sun City Center.
Max was born in Peachland, North Carolina to Marcus and Maude Lee on March 10, 1922. Max had 8 brothers and sisters.
Max is survived by his wife Jo Ann, daughters Rena (Curtis) Skeens, Brandon, Florida; Mary Lou (Sandy) Heath, Tallahassee, Florida and Charlotte (Phil) Malone, Oxford, Mississippi. Max is survived by his loving grandchildren and great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Francis Lee of Greenville, N.C. and Ann Kolbe of Charlotte, N.C. Max is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Max was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served 20 years including World War II. He owned Lee’s Standard Service Station in North Palm Beach, Florida for 20 years before retiring to Ruskin in 1983. After he retired to Ruskin he became a member of Ruskin United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board and was a Trustee.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, May 19, at the Ruskin United Methodist Church with Rev. David Looney officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. with the Service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Friends of the family are invited to stay for lunch in Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
Charles Junior Sumner
Charles Junior Sumner passed away on May 14, 2011. He was survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Martha Ruth Sumner, of Bartow. They were previously long time residents of Ruskin, FL. He is survived by one brother, Alex Sumner of Ruskin; eight children, Cathy and Rick Davis of Ruskin, Jimmy Sumner of Bartow, Ellen and Ed Pintze of Bartow, Annette and Donald Kierce of North Carolina, Denise Robinson of Bartow, Dan and Joan Sumner of Sundance, William and Melissa Sumner of Bartow, Rita and Alan Payne of Ruskin, 37 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 18, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at National Cremation and Burial located at 308 East College, Ruskin, FL. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, at National Cremation at 11:00 a.m.
