Ann Andreasen Kratt
Ann Andreasen Kratt passed away on April 10, 2011 in Sun City Center, FL. Born October 22, 1934 in St. Paul, Minnesota, she earned her teaching credentials at University of Nebraska where she was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood for more than 50 years and was a life long Lutheran. She married Theodore D. Kratt in 1954, they had a son Steven Douglas, a (deceased son) Brian and a daughter Lesleigh (Mrs. Ronald Barnett); three grandchildren, Sydney, Brian, and Cameron Elizabeth; two brothers, Howard (deceased) and James E. Andreasen.
A memory moment will be spoken at the first service of Calvary Lutheran Church instead of any funeral or memorial service. Arrangements are by the National Cremation Society.
James Warren Cronn
James Warren Cronn, 92, of Sun City Center, Florida formerly of West Hempstead, NY died peacefully Monday evening April 11, 2011 with Alice, his loving wife of 64 years, and his son by his side. He is survived by his wife, Alice (Franzmeier), sons Jim Jr. (Katherine) and Jack (Barbara), and grandchildren Patrick, Kenneth, and Samantha; also, a sister, Marguerite Sherwood as well as nieces, nephews and great friends and neighbors of many years.
Jim was born in Brooklyn, New York to Albert Eugene and Grace Hearon Cronn. He was an alumnus of Chaminade Parochial High School. He was a B-25 pilot with the 38th bomb group during World War II flying combat missions in the South Pacific. It was during this time in New Guinea where he met the lovely Army nurse who would become his wife. He also saw active duty in Korea and was a member of the United States Air Force reserves retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked for the New York Telephone Co. for 33 years in many positions including a lineman, installer, cable splicer and finally as a management supervisor.
Since 1980 Jim and Alice lived their happy retirement years in Sun City Center. Jim loved to golf and operate CW DX ham radio as W2GC. He was a charter member of the Caloosa Golf and Country Club as well as the amateur radio club and the computer club. He loved to talk over golf, computers and amateur radio operation with his sons. Until recently Jim and Alice summered in Alice’s hometown of Two Rivers, Wisconsin where they enjoyed their many relatives and friends.
Jim was parishioner of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, life member of ARRL, Elks Lodge 1380 and lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council 7282.

Funeral mass was held on Friday April 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Sun City Center with a reception following in the Conesa Center.
John Michael Gerdy
John Michael “Mike” Gerdy, 68, of Sun City Center, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania to John and Ruth (Snyder) Gerdy, Mike had been a local resident for eleven years after moving here from Mt. Union, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 269, Trenton, New Jersey. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful and loving man. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rebecca and many friends. Willie Jean Avery
Willie Jean Avery, 77, of Plant City, Florida, beloved husband, father, and grandfather departed this life on April 17, 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Springhead Baptist Church, and owned Avery’s Hardware and Plumbing Supply in Ruskin for 28 years. He is survived by wife of 53 years Deloris Avery; children Phyllis Ann Miller (Eddie) of Oakland, Florida, Diane Avery of Plant City, and James Allen Avery, of Keystone Heights; 5 grandchildren Eddie Miller, Jr., Christopher Miller, Cori Avery, Codi Avery, and Andrew Avery; and 3 great-grandchildren Peyton, Ava and Mason Miller. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 11:00 A.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 SR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M.
